#7 - CONFRONTATION
Here's the Charge Up !! ⚡ Are you ready to CONFRONT YOURSELF? 🔈
THE CONFRONTATIONAL YOU.
Life has a way of showing yourself to yourself.
You can't dodge it. You can't move around it.
You can only look directly at yourself and decide if this is the person you want to see.
You know you want better. Obviously. You woke up. You showed up
You know you can do better. Obviously. You're working on it everyday
But when you really examine where you are…
You KNOW there was another level you saw for yourself.
This is when CONFRONTATION happens.
This is when we look at ourselves... to check ourselves & say:
“I KNOW YOU’RE CAPABLE OF MORE.”
YES, you've done good. YES, you're doing better.
But there's ANOTHER LEVEL LEFT to bring it all together.
Are you going to back down from that Confrontation?
...or are you going to STAND UP & DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?
🔑 Put it In Perspective
Let's look at this in terms of the 4 PILLARS we use to train & get stronger in the Savage Lands: Focus, Performance, Progress & Fuel.
the Performance Perspective
On one side: You can avoid the things that challenge you and push you out of your comfort zone. You can stay away from cardio work, bodyweight work, single leg moves & pushups… and simply chalk it up to: “I hate them.”
On the other side: You can confront yourself and realize the main reason you hate those workouts is.... you’re not good at them. You suck at them.
The main way you become good at anything is by working through it and doing it…. even when it sucks. The main payoff you get doesn't just happen on the outside or the ability to do the exercise.
Your determination strengthens on the inside because you KNOW you had to CONQUER an obstacle you previously saw as an impossible.
the PROGRESS Perspective
You COULD have avoided the fact that your body size was changing and just bought bigger clothes.
You COULD have listened to what society is pushing lately and just practiced so-called “self-acceptance”. You could have stayed exactly where you were & listened to all the people who told you “oh no, we love you how you are… don't change at all.”
BUT YOU DIDN’T. You remembered that silent confrontation you have with yourself every morning when you wake up and look in the mirror.
You remembered that gut feeling when you woke up & saw the back of your eyelids;
- That 1st quiet thought with your eyes closed.
- That 1st thought about what you did wrong yesterday & what you need to change today.
That GUT.. .That 1st THOUGHT is the SPARK you need to GET YOUR @$$ UP and DO SOMETHING about your situation.
the FUEL Perspective
You can say you're busy and don't have time to track your food or macros.
You can say you don't have the patience or the preference to repeat the same food & meal prep.
OR...
You can directly confront yourself and realize what you REALLY DON’T HAVE TIME FOR is another round of useless excuses.
What you REALLY NEED TO DO is invest more time in the love you have for yourself and find a way to make it happen!
Imagine spending ALL MONTH working overtime at your job…
Only to leave each day and spend your money with no regards to a budget.
Yes, you'll be much more disciplined when it comes to the work ethic…
But you won't have much of an increase in cash flow to show for it
So in a similar way, imagine training hard ALL MONTH;
Hitting all your Sessions, Camps and even Homework!
But not taking accountability on your food choices, portions or tracking.
Yes, you'll get stronger and move better…
BUT.... you'll always stay a few steps behind the full level of progress you see & want for yourself.
SO THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH...
Confront Yourself.
Stand Up, Look yourself in the eyes and Let’s DO THE THINGS you need to do to reach the level we both know you’re fully capable of. 🍽️
